Background of the Study
Human Resource Management (HRM) practices encompass a wide range of activities aimed at maximizing employee performance, satisfaction, and engagement. In industries such as telecommunications, where competition is fierce and the pace of change is rapid, effective HRM practices are essential for attracting, retaining, and developing talented employees. MTN Nigeria, a leading telecommunications provider in Nigeria, has implemented various HRM practices aimed at improving employee performance, fostering a positive organizational culture, and achieving strategic objectives.

In Kano State, where MTN Nigeria has a significant presence, HRM practices play a pivotal role in ensuring that the company remains competitive in the telecom market. Effective recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement strategies are crucial for sustaining MTN Nigeria’s growth and market share.
